Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the solution last?
The mesh and clips are built for years of outdoor exposure. We also offer optional annual inspections/maintenance.

They can’t access under-panel shelter once the mesh is in place. Some birds may visit briefly, but without nesting access they move on.

Yes—one-time or recurring roof/gutter/array cleaning to keep systems efficient and sanitary.

On ledges, parapets, ridge caps, signage, and narrow perches birds target. We use durable stainless or UV-stable polycarbonate systems.
Yes. We clear debris, flush downspouts, and haul away waste—often paired with solar bird proofing.
We perform roof washing targeted for bird debris and light staining, using roof-appropriate, low-pressure methods.
Quickly—often within days after you approve your quote. We’ll offer the first available slot.
Not necessarily. We just need safe roof access and to coordinate gates/pets/parking.
It’s risky and often more costly long-term. Roof work around live electrical equipment and delicate panel frames is best left to trained crews with proper hardware and insurance.
No. Our solutions are humane, non-lethal exclusions that fix the root cause—access to nesting areas.

Primarily pigeons (rock doves), woodpeckers, mud swallows, turkey vultures, along with house sparrows and starlings. We also see crows and gulls in some neighborhoods, and doves on tile roofs.

Corrosive droppings stain and deteriorate roofing, nests clog gutters and downspouts, wiring/insulation can be damaged under panels, and mites/pests may be introduced—reducing solar efficiency and increasing maintenance costs.
Under-panel space provides warm, protected shelter; nearby food/water sources and safe perches (ledges, ridge caps) keep them around. Excluding access and removing attractants solves it.
No. Our methods are humane and non-lethal. We don’t use poisons, and we follow wildlife rules to avoid disturbing active nests.
We remove all nesting material, vacuum debris, disinfect the area, and clear/flush gutters and downspouts. All waste is bagged and hauled away.
Typically yes—nesting stops immediately because access is blocked. Some birds may revisit for a few days, but without shelter they move on. Noise and mess drop quickly.
What is solar panel bird proofing?

A low-profile steel mesh is attached around your solar array (no drilling into panels) to block pigeons and other birds from nesting underneath. We pair it with full clean-out and sanitation.

No. We use panel-safe clips/fasteners—no penetrations into panels—so manufacturer warranties remain intact.

Most homes are completed in a single day, depending on roof height/pitch and debris levels.

Black, UV-stable, PVC-coated steel mesh with panel-safe clips. Stainless options available for coastal installs.

It’s low-profile and matte black, so visibility is minimal from ground level.

They may land, but they can’t nest or roost under the array—so noise, mess, and damage drop dramatically.

Best right after solar is installed. If you already have birds, we first remove nests/debris and sanitize, then install the mesh.

We bag and remove nesting material, vacuum fine debris, clear gutters as needed, and apply disinfectant to reduce odor, staining, and health risks.

No. We avoid high pressure that could damage coatings/seals; we use manufacturer-safe rinsing/cleaning methods.

We comply with wildlife regulations and don’t disturb active nests of protected species. If found, we schedule exclusion after fledging or offer compliant alternatives.
